About Us

How It All Began

Hello! I’m Lucy, the founder of Loopy Stitching. I started learning how to stitch as a child starting with cross-stitch, before moving on to different embroidery techniques and practicing other forms of textile work - I sew, crochet, knit, quilt, weave, and will try just about anything that involves using fabric. I love taking a piece of fabric and transforming it by either changing its form or by adding gorgeous detailing through embroidery.

In 2019 I started embroidering more frequently and when Covid19 hit, I found that the chance to sit quietly and create gorgeous pieces of art was an opportunity to escape from the rest of the world. I decided to start Loopy Stitching as a way to bring the patterns I love to a wider audience and to give people the support they need to expand their own embroidery practice.

You can find all of our current patterns in our online shop and our Etsy (where our name is Loopy Clothing as we started off selling t-shirts there). When you buy one of our patterns you’ll find lots of helpful features to help you have a fun and rewarding experience.
